Note Card Set for Sale-a-bration

This notecard set was made for a Stampin' Up! demonstrator challenge. The challenge was to use one stamp set to make 4 coordinating note cards each featuring a different layout.I used the God' Beauty Level 1 Hostess Set along with the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper and the Ribbon Bundle - both from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.

Sale-a-bration is the annual best ever sale from SU. For every $50 of product ordered you may pick one of the 5 free limited Sale-a-bration products from the brochure found

Scrapping with stamps and ink

Another creation using come something cricut!

I cut out the "becoming" letters with the cricut, put them on the old olive page using repositionable adhesive and then sponged in chocolate chip around those letters. Then I added letters cut from chocolate chip cardstock using the Teardrop cricut cartridge to complete the title.

The other stamping was also done in chocolate chip using the baroque motifs stamp set.

Layered Up Rustic Rooster

Another card using Rustic Rooster and this one is very layered up! After I used ink pads and the aquapainter to make the rooster colorful...but not at all real (or so "they" tell me!), I cut, cut and cut and them mounted all the layers to get this card that...well...I really like!

Playing With My Christmas Gift

I got a Cricut Expressions for Christmas - an electronic die cutting machine- totally unexpected. The machine works with cartridges and can cut anywhere from 1/4 inch to 24 inches. I am not totally new to the machine as Hollie (Hollie's House of Hugs) has one and I have spent time playing with hers both for card/scrapbooking and for bulletin board stuff at school.

Now on to the card above. See that wagon. I used a piece of medium chipboard/cardboard leftover from some packaging and cut it out using the Paper Doll cartridge. After it was cut out, I inked it up with Riding Hood Red ink and popped it on the card using stampin' dimensionals.

Polished Rooster

This card uses what is called the polished stone technique. Details of how to do the technique can be found here. Onto my glossy white card stock, I used the Encore metallic gold ink, and Really Rust and More Mustard Classic Reinkers with the polished stone technique.

After the polished stone piece was dry, I stamped the rooster using StazOn Jet Black ink and finished up my card.

Paper: Really Rust, More Mustard, White Glossy Cardstock
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, VersaMark
